Top 6 Best Vintage Gucci Items for You

Inspired by the refined style of London while working at the Savoy Hotel, Guccio Gucci returned to Florence, Italy, in 1921. He opened a shop, crafting luggage and small leather goods. Gucci's international visitors included equestrians who inspired the label's horsebit motif. Well cared-for vintage handbags are highly coveted by Gucci collectors, as are scarves, sunglasses, clutch purses, and luggage. Gucci devotees can shop for these classics in consignment and vintage shops, other collectors, and online resources such as eBay.
1Clutch Purs
A Vintage Gucci clutch purse is an ideal accessory when a full-size bag overwhelms your outfit. Many clutch styles contain a hidden leather or metal link shoulder strap, adding to the bag's versatility. Look for examples in supple leather, alligator, and suede. Canvas clutches feature the classic Gucci pattern in navy, brown, and tan with leather trim. The signature red-and-green webbed stripe trim was inspired from a classic saddle girth. Golden and silvertone solid metal clasp designs include the iconic "GG" logo, a push-lock closure, horsebit clasp, and turn clasps.

2Flora Scarf
With finely detailed flowers surrounded by dragonflies and butterflies, the Flora scarf features 36 vibrant colors on a white background. Each pure silk twill scarf has hand-stitched and rolled edges with the Gucci logo delicately integrated into the design. Gucci offers several border colors, including green, yellow, pink, blue, and navy.

Flora's Creation
In 1966, Princess Grace of Monaco inspired this lovely pattern when she visited the Milan Gucci store with her husband, Prince Rainier. After she selected a green bamboo bag, Rodolfo Gucci insisted on offering her the gift of her choice. She told Gucci that she needed a scarf, but the proprietor did not have one that he considered sufficiently elegant for the princess. He contacted renowned illustrator Vittorio Accornero to create a design for the scarf. Overnight, he created the Flora design for Princess Grace's scarf. One side of the scarf bears the artist's signature, reading "V. Accornero." The Flora template still adorns Gucci bags, totes, and shoes

3The Bardot Handbag
Introduced in the early 1960s, Gucci named this classic bag after French superstar Brigitte Bardot. Made of Gucci-monogrammed canvas or leather, the Bardot has a wide base and narrows toward the top. The semi-structured handbag's handle creates an oval shape, and the bag features a metal push-slide closure. The Bardot is also available in a shoulder bag, in solid leather, patterned canvas with contrasting trim, and the Grace Kelly-inspired Flora pattern.

4Luggage
When Guccio Gucci opened his store in 1921, his first products included small leather goods and luggage, including hard-sided suitcases and soft-sided totes. His creations included neat leather trim and metal closures with superior fit and finish. As luggage styles evolved, Gucci's luggage offerings followed, including scaled-down travel bags that fit in overhead compartments. The company's recognizable canvas pattern appears on many examples, with leather trim and bottom panels. Other pieces include duffle bags, cosmetic bags, and golf bags.

5Doctor Bag Handbag
Introduced in the 1930s, the Gucci Doctor Bag features a leather base and a detachable shoulder strap in addition to a handle. These medium-sized satchels typically measure 10 inches long and 8 inches high. The company made Doctor Bags in canvas with the "GG" monogram pattern and contrasting leather trim, and some bags are all leather. The top zip closure features the gold-tone Gucci logo pull.

6Sunglasses
Gucci's vintage sunglasses defined the 1960s, with the marriage of stylish frames with high-quality craftsmanship. Unlike the bright, inexpensive beach sunglasses worn by teens, these examples integrated thoughtfully designed black, brown, and tortoiseshell frames. The temples are adorned with several variations of the Gucci logo, including a rectangular "G" with "Gucci" embossed on the lower arm of the letter, the classic double-G emblem, or "Gucci" inscribed on each side.
Sunglasses Care
Gucci provided hard-shelled storage cases for each pair of sunglasses, as well as a soft cleaning cloth. A microfiber bag helps protect the lenses within the case. Vintage sunglasses often included breakable glass lenses, requiring extra care to avoid damage.

Others have flat soles and decorating accents. Barefoot sandals are perfect for a day on the beach, a boat cruise, a pool party, a beach wedding, and other outdoor events. Also known as naked sandals, these fashion accessories are a combination of an anklet and a toe ring. They can be crafted from stone, beads, rope, silk, or linen. Some models are bold and colorful, while others have a simple design. Barefoot sandals offer a lightweight, minimalist alternative to sneakers. Heavy, over-padded footwear may cause back pain, knee injuries, shin splints, and general discomfort. Barefoot sandals are much safer and more comfortable.

This type of outdoor footwear can replace flip flops completely. It's a great choice for men, women, and children who want to feel comfortable when they're on the beach or by the pool. Barefoot sandals usually don’t have soles, but they do have superb colors and stunning decorations. Many people wear them as jewelry. Numerous designers have embraced this style and brought it into the spotlight. Barefoot sandals are worn by celebrities too.

Tips for Wearing Barefoot Sandals
Many people wear these sandals at outdoor parties and luaus. This type of footwear is ideal for beach weddings, eliminating the cost and stress of finding matching shoes for each bridesmaid. Naked sandals are also worn by hippies who enjoy going barefoot. Many claim that these are the best shoes to walk around in all day, and some say they're ideal for jogging and even hiking.

Barefoot sandals are available in all shapes and sizes. Most models are designed for women and teen girls. They are great for long runs and hikes, mold to the feet perfectly, and look great with most outfits. This kind of footwear can be worn with a silk blouse and tailored pants, a printed tunic and shorts, a short cocktail dress, a white linen shirt and pants, or a tank top and denim shorts. Some women wear them with dresses, miniskirts, and even classic sportswear.

Naked sandals with ankle straps are very comfortable, especially for those who walk a lot. Due to their lightweight design, they can be stored in a small purse or in the pocket and carried from once place to another effortlessly. With dozens of lacing styles and sole colors, finding the perfect pair is easy. Some people make their own sandals using leather, beads, cloth, lace, and decorations.

Types of Barefoot Sandals
Customers can choose from different types of barefoot sandals such as crocheted sandals, Jana sandals, and AK sandals. The crocheted styles are quite basic and have a casual look. They are suitable for everyday wear. AK sandals feature lots of beads and bright colors, making them ideal for a beach wedding or an outdoor cocktail party. These models go well with summer dresses and skirts. Jana sandals are elegant and stylish. Some have embellished details, metallic accents, and leather decorations. They are elegant enough to wear at the spa or a fancy pool party.

Regardless of their style, barefoot sandals come in different colors, including pink, red, silver, gold, cream, black, and white. Many women wear them primarily for decoration rather than protection. This type of footwear is perfect for a casual summer look. Its affordable price is an attractive option for budget-conscious customers.

Comfy Shoes for the Fashion Conscious

Can shoes be comfortable AND look cute?
Absolutely!

Ask just about any lady, and they'll tell you it's difficult to find shoes that are both comfortable and fashionable.   And it's true - it really can be difficult, but it's not impossible.  If you know where to look and what brands to keep an eye on, you'll be sporting super cute, super comfy kicks in no time.

Flats
Flats are already the most comfy shoes out there, but there are some that really go above and beyond.  Some brands to look for are Clarks, Born, and Earthies.  From casual to dressy, flats are an excellent option for anyone in need of supportive, comfy shoes.  Keep in mind: with flats, arch support is key.

Heels
Ah, heels.  So cute, yet so often painful.  If you know what to look for, though, you can wear heels without regretting it at the end of the day!  We love wedges by Dr. Scholls, cute vintage-style heels by Clarks Indigo, and classics like Aerosoles.  Keep in mind: platform wedges offer height and style without the strain of a regular heel.

Boots
Boots can also be a great option for those with "tricky" feet, because there are tons of cute boots with flat and low heels.   Clarks has a great selection, as do Naturalizer and Frye.  You're sure to find stylish boots for your fall and winter wardrobe!  Keep in mind: many boots come in different calf widths, so make sure to measure for fit.

Sporty
If you're looking for something a little more athletic, without sporting a full-on sneaker, look no further.   Naturalizer has many options, and you might also want to check out the selections by Merrell and Clarks.  Keep in mind:  you can get the sporty look without the hassle with slip-ons.

Sandals
Sandals can often be tricky - even though they're flat, they typically have no support at all, which isn't great for long wear.  If you want cute, comfy sandals you can really move in, check out Vionic with Orthaheel technology, Earthies, and sandals by Merrell.  Keep in mind:  flip-flops are often forgiving in terms of width, but strappy sandals can also work great for wide-width needs.

Your Guide to Buying Stylish Slingbacks

When it comes to dressy, stylish shoes, women certainly love their footwear, and it is not uncommon to find numerous pairs of shoes in every woman's closet. From classic pumps to flirty sandals, shoes often have the power to make or break a particular look. The slingback is a popular shoe style that is adored by many women for its sassy, and sometimes even sexy, look. This guide will provide information about the different types of slingbacks that are available as well as provide a few tips for wearing them.

What Are Slingbacks?
These dressy women's shoes have an interesting name, but the logic behind it is actually quite simple. Rather than having traditional straps that go over the foot and the ankle, slingbacks have a single strap that runs around the back of the foot from the ankle on one side to near the arch on the other side. They are similar in overall style to pumps, except that the heel of the foot is open and exposed instead of being completely enclosed inside the back of the shoe.

As for the rest of the shoe, slingbacks are available in many different styles with many different embellishments. Generally speaking, most slingbacks add a bit of flair to traditional women's dress shoes without going completely overboard into the realm of too dressy or too sexy for normal daily wear. Women can still wear slingbacks to their places of employment as long as they choose neutral colors, such as brown, gray, beige, black, or white, and simple styles that are not covered in glitzy adornments. On the other hand, some slingbacks use their strappy style to further add to a glamorous look that is designed specifically for evening wear.

Your Guide to Buying Stylish Slingbacks

Styles of Slingbacks
Although the strap running behind the foot gives all slingbacks a particular look, other characteristics of these shoes can vary a great deal. They may have high heels, low heels, or even wedge heels. They may be open or closed at the toes or sit on two-inch platforms. The following chart outlines many of the different styles available as a slingback shoe:

Preventing Slingbacks from Slipping
Slingback straps can either buckle at the ankle, or they may have strong elastic embedded in the straps at the back of the foot. The most common complaint the women have about slingback shoes is that the straps can sometimes slip off the back of their foot, which makes the shoes difficult to walk in and wear. Slingbacks with buckles on their straps have this problem less often, but slingbacks with elastic straps may eventually start to stretch out and cause the wearer problems.

Before buying slingback shoes, women should always make certain that they have the best fit for both of their feet. Sizing will be particularly important for this type of shoe. It is probably not a wise idea to buy slingbacks that are even a little too large for the feet unless they have buckle straps with numerous notches for tightening. If the shoes are a little too large and this is the reason for the slippage, women can insert a half insole insert into the shoes at the balls of the feet in order to keep their feet from sliding forward.

If the perfect slingback has developed a slipping issue, it may still be possible to adjust the shoe for continued wear. If the straps slip off immediately after putting the shoes on, they are stretched out and will either have to be replaced or doctored. It may be possible to find a shoe repair shop that can replace the straps. If not, women can buy self-adhesive, rubber strap inserts, such as Gel Strappies or Strappy Strips, from many online and traditional shoe stores. These strips are simply attached to the loose part of the shoe strap to narrow the gap and provide a tighter fit.

Your Guide to New Balance Women's Hiking Shoes

Hiking is a great way to get exercise, but it can also be a dangerous one if you do not have the proper equipment. Proper shoes are important accessories for safe hiking. Different intensities require different features, and wearing a shoe that does not offer the right features can create numerous complications during a hike. Simply put, the correct shoes help to ensure that your excursion is easy and enjoyable; the wrong footwear, however, can put undue stress on your ankles, leading to pain and possible injury. New Balance offers a wide variety of women's shoes, each of which uses different materials and provides different features to meet each of your hiking shoe needs.

Your Guide to New Balance Women's Hiking Shoes

Hiking Intensity
The first step in determining what hiking shoe you should buy is to determine how intense you expect your excursions to be. If you expect your hike to be fairly flat, along prepared trails, a thinner hiking shoe should provide plenty of support while also offering sufficient protection. New Balance offers a line of women's hiking footwear called Minimal shoes. They are low-profile shoes that are lightweight and offer an almost-barefoot feel to the wearer, which maximizes comfort.

If you expect slightly more intense hikes with more severe inclines and rugged terrain, or if you expect to carry a large backpack, you want a shoe that has a higher ankle, which offers more support and protection. New Balance has several styles that provide this level of support. For example, the New Balance 790 and 1569 both have higher ankles that keep legs stable and reduce the risk of injury.

Pronation
When considering shoes, pronation is another key factor in determining support and stability. Pronation refers to how your foot moves when you take a step. With a natural pronation, you start a step on the outside heel and roll slightly inward and forward, ending the step on your big toe. If you start on the outside heel and roll in too far, you are over-pronating; remaining primarily on the outside of your foot as it rolls forward is called under-pronating.

New Balance offers different shoes that address pronating issues by providing additional support to keep your step straight and proper. New Balance Stability shoes offer support for lighter pronation problems while New Balance Motion-Control shoes help support heavier pronation issues. The easiest way to determine your pronation is to study the wear on an old pair of shoes.

Hiking Conditions
While support and stability are imperative factors when choosing shoes, it is also important to consider your comfort as you wear them. Some New Balance women's shoes offer different features that address different conditions to provide maximum comfort for your feet as you hike through the elements.

Wet Conditions
If you expect to be hiking in very wet conditions, whether from rain or river, a waterproof hiking shoe might be best. New Balance style 1569 uses Gore-Tex technology (the same technology you might have in a rain jacket or hat) to provide great protection from wet conditions.

Dry Conditions
On the other end of the spectrum, you may be hiking in conditions that are dry and hot. If this is the case, a shoe with effective ventilation may be the best option to keep your feet dry and comfortable. When shopping for a shoe, look for shoes that offer a lot of mesh in the upper part. This mesh allows the shoes to breathe, providing cool conditions for your feet. Several styles of New Balance hiking shoes provide this level of ventilation. For example, the New Balance Minimus 80 offers an upper shoe created almost completely from mesh.

Chunky Statement Shoes: Favorite Brands and Styles

I absolutely love chunky, quirky, statement shoes that are also comfortable to walk in.  Here is a short guide to some of my favorite brands and styles, the pros and cons of each product, and why I don't recommend buying the less expensive shoe dupes from Asia.
Jeffrey Campbell Lita
The Jeffrey Campbell Lita comes in a variety of textiles, textures, colors, and prints to suit whatever your heart desires.  The Lita in black leather however, is undeniably a new classic boot.  While major retailers sell these around for around $160, there are options on eBay for $120 or even less.  There are many individuals who are selling their gently worn Litas for very affordable prices.  The Jeffrey Campbell Lita is known for its thick platform in the front of the shoe which makes the towering pair of boots very easy to wear.

Because of how popular the styles, there are many significantly cheaper versions sold by sellers from China.  I would not recommend buying any of those however as I had a friend who purchased a pair and one of the heels ended up breaking off after two weeks of wear.
TUK Creepers
I absolutely love TUK creepers, they are some of the most comfortable shoes I own despite how heavy they initially feel.  The chunky creepers come in thin, thick, and wedge styles.  Its manmade sole is rubber-like and offers a cushioned feel.  They range from $60 to $100 and come in a large assortment of colors and textiles.  There are often fun limited edition versions such as the pastel colored Hello Kitty collection.  While I do think highly about the shoe brand, I think the high price is more because of its unique style than quality.  Nevertheless, TUK creepers are still a very durable shoe.

Same with the Litas, there are many cheaper versions of creepers from sellers in Asia.  Some of these have very cute prints that even TUK doesn't offer.  The problem with some of these alternatives is their soles.  Instead of the cushiony, flexible, rubber-like sole found in TUK creepers, these have stiff, foam soles that are not flexible and don't feel durable, though they are significantly lighter.
Dr. Martens Oxfords
While, the Dr. Martens boots are obviously a classic, I also love their range of quality-made oxfords.  These shoes are extremely durable and comfortable and also come in a an awesome range of leathers and prints.  As great as these shoes are, the price usually is at least $150.

Despite this, I don't recommend finding a cheaper, less durable dupe, as with careful searching on eBay you can most likely find Dr. Martens at significant discounts.

Where can I sell shoes?

Many people sell their shoes on Nordstrom. The first thing to do is take a good look at those shoes you want to sell. Would you be happy to receive them in the mail, having paid your own cash for them? Are they scuffed, stained, or do they smell bad? If so, you might want to rethink selling them via Nordstrom. However, if your shoes are in good condition, or even better, new, you have a great chance of releasing some cash through Nordstrom.

Research first.
Take at least half an hour and really search the shoes currently available for sale on ebay. Enter the brand and size of your shoes in the search box and look at similar listings, this will give you a good idea of what other people are hoping to get for their shoes and give you an idea of what to start the listing price at. Remember that the listing price is not the final purchase price. Make sure you check out listings which actually have bids. Nordstrom has a function where you can watch items, the final prices of these items will be recorded for you on your Nordstrom page. There is lots more information on the seller pages of the Nordstrom website, check out this link and spend some time reading up!

How to Price Clothes and Shoes for Sale

Take a great picture.
Clean those shoes off, put them on a uniform colored background, with the box if you still have it, and get some great shots. Be sure to include a pic of all angles, the heals and the condition of the sole. I always take a shot of any scuffs or slight damage, this way the buyer is fully informed when they make their bid. Start at the ebay listing flow and get describing your shoes. Talk them up, if they are great with jeans say so, if they are right on trend, say that too!

List accurately.
Listing your item for sale is a crucial part of the ebay process. Enter in as much info as you can in the "Start a New Listing" box. For example, "Ladies Shoes, size 9 Dexflex by Dexter, New" (which is the description of the shoes in the picture above). This will prompt you to choose a category, choose from the list that pops up and be as specific as possible. This will ensure your shoes are being listed with other items related to it. There is no point listing a pair of ladies shoes in a kids shoe category. Think of the categories like a store, making it as easy as possible for a buyer to find your shoes means more views and more views means more bids!

Pricing, Fees and Shipping
Remember that although listing your item for sale on ebay is free (up to certain limits), they will charge you a final valuation fee - a percentage of your sale price, there are also charges for some listing services. If you choose to receive payment for your item through PayPal, they also charge for monies received on your behalf. I usually round up to approximately 15% of the final sale price going on fees. For more detailed information check out this link:  http://coupon4share.com/store/nordstrom.com

Be professional!
Even if you are selling only one pair of shoes that never fit you, or that you had to wear for a wedding and wouldn't be seen dead in anywhere else, remember that buyers on Nordstrom will have questions, which you should answer promptly and professionally. Who knows, you may find that you love selling your gear on ebay and want to sell more. When you do, you will find that a high reputation score (the figure in brackets after your seller/user name) will draw more views and bids to your items.

How to Add Glitter to Your Shoes

While there are many shoes that help you make a splash at any event, a pair of glittery shoes ensures no one ignores you. Many designers have their own version of this glitzy accessory, but if you do not have the budget for Christian Louboutin or Jimmy Choo, then you can make your own pair at home. Adding glitter to any pair of shoes is easy, if you have the patience. Whether you are a proficient do-it-yourself enthusiast or even if you are hapless at crafts, you can still design your own glittery shoes with the right techniques and tools.

How to Add Glitter to Your Shoes

Method 1: Pre-Made Kits and Pens
There is a wide variety of glitter kits and pre-made products available on the market, and many manufacturers design these kits for fabric. If your shoes are made of canvas, such as Converse high tops or espadrilles, you can use these products. Check the exact directions on the kit you purchase, but most likely, it comes with an adhesive and a selection of glitter colors. Simply apply the adhesive on the shoes, and then add the glitter.

An easier way to add glitter designs to shoes would be to use glitter pens. These pens have the glue and glitter pre-mixed inside; simply squeeze it out onto the shoe's surface. These are easier to handle, especially if this is a project for young children, but take note that some pens are washable, which means that taking your fancy new shoes out in the rain could result in your glitter disappearing.

Method 2: Use Shoe Decals
Another easy method of adding glitter to your shoes would be through the use of decals or stickers. If you just want something shiny and glittery on your shoes, then use crystal pieces to create more distinct designs. For example, brides who want "something blue" on their wedding should add some small crystals to their shoes in their chosen design, such as "I Do."

Of course, if you want to cover your shoes with sparkly crystals, it is a painstaking process, because you need to apply the pieces one by one or in strips. There are tools that help you attach the stones to the shoes that might make the job easier.

Method 3: Do-It-Yourself
For the truly crafty, there is a way to make everything from scratch without buying pre-made kits or tools. Not only do you save some money doing everything yourself, but you also feel more accomplished once you finish this project. All you have to do it follow a few simple steps.

Step 1: Gather the Materials
You need an ample amount of glitter in your chosen color, all-purpose glue or one that works with your shoe material, some newspapers, painter's tape, and a brush. Of course, you should also find a pair of shoes you want to cover in glitter. Choose an old pair of shoes or an inexpensive pair, as you do not want to ruin a pair of pricey designer shoes.

Step 2: Prepare the Work Area and Shoes
Ideally, you want to work on a flat surface such as a table or workbench, and avoid carpeted floors. Take the newspapers and cover your tabletop or floor where you want to work. Then, use the painter's tape to cover up parts of your shoes you do not want to cover in glitter, such as the soles or heels. Additionally, remove laces, buttons, and other things that might get in the way.

Step 3: Mix the Glue and the Glitter
Take a small cup or tray and add about a quarter cup of glue, and then add the glitter. Take a chopstick or popsicle stick and stir it thoroughly.

Step 4: Paint the Shoe
Take your paintbrush and use it to apply the mixture to the surface of your shoes. Leave them to dry, and then add a second layer. Add a third layer if necessary. Allow the shoes to dry overnight in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area. Use a last layer of plain glue to seal the glitter, and make sure the shoes are completely dry before you wear them.

Top 5 Vintage Chanel Shoe Styles

Coco Chanel mused, "Luxury must be comfortable, otherwise it is not a luxury." Ill-fitting shoes create discomfort that detracts from the enjoyment that beautiful clothing and footwear brings. Taught to sew in an orphanage, Coco Chanel created chic hats, handbags, dresses, and suits. Her eye for design resulted in enduring creations. Although each Chanel collection is timeless, vintage shoes add a rich patina of elegance to any shoe collection. Consumers can find these graceful shoes in consignment shops, couture collections, and from online sources such as eBay.

1 Two-Tone Slingbacks
Coco Chanel's penchant for problem solving led her to create her signature two-tone slingbacks in 1957. She wanted a pair of shoes that elongated her legs and shortened her feet. This flattering style features a beige foot, a pointed black cap toe, and a delicate slingback strap. Later styles featured other color combinations, such as a black peau de soie foot with a gold leather cap toe and cream shoes with a black toe.

2 Mary Jane Pumps

Chanel Mary Jane pumps feature two buckled straps that cross over the top of the foot. Short black elastic straps provide a comfortable fit throughout the day and evening. The classic Mary Jane is made with black leather and has a rounded toe and chunky high heels.

Style Variations
Variations on the black Mary Jane pump integrate Chanel's classic shoe designs as well as innovative touches. Black and gray satin styles combine the two-tone cap toe design with the Mary Jane strap. Variations suitable for evening wear are covered in satin atop 3-inch heel in the same fabric. A similar style features a subtle black suede foot, a black patent leather toe cap, and stiletto heels.

3 Open-Toe Pumps

Chanel open-toe pumps are a stylish, breezy alternative to closed-toe pumps. Open-toe pumps have wider openings than demure peep-toe pumps. Chanel styles include black patent leather, rich brown leather, and neutral honeycomb mesh with the double C logo at the toe. Wearers can don these shoes barelegged, with a pretty manicure. Those who prefer stockings should choose a pair without toe seams.

Shoe Size Conversion
When purchasing shoes that are made in France and Italy, as Chanel shoes are, consumers must convert their familiar U.S. sizes to the European equivalent. Because shoe sizes can vary considerably, consumers should measure the length of their feet to determine their true size. To obtain the most accurate measurement, consumers should stand flat and wear stockings or socks that they plan to wear with the shoes.

4 Two-Tone Ballet Flats
A casual extension of the two-tone slingback, these vintage ballet flats feature leather uppers and a contrasting cap toe. Classic beige and black flats complement dressed-up and dressed-down outfits. Variations include same-color flats in black, brown, and cream, with patent leather toe caps. These flats are occasionally embellished with the double C logo or Chanel's favorite black grosgrain bow. Coco Chanel's design philosophy focused on comfortable and practical shoes and garments that allowed freedom of movement. Her iconic designs reflect that ethic, particularly the striped jersey boat-neck shirt, little black dress, and two-tone ballet flats.

5 Chain-link Loafer Pumps
Sleek and sophisticated, Chanel's chain-link loafer pumps feature black patent leather on the foot and the 4-inch heel. The shoe's extended tongue supports the bold gold-tone chain-link, interwoven with a narrow black patent leather ribbon. These high-heeled loafers are made in France and complement the signature Chanel 2.55 handbag, featuring a gold-tone chain handle.

Clarks
One of the kings of foot apparel is Clarks, who appears in closets across the globe. Clarks’ calling card is their semi-casual style that lends well to many occasions, as Hodapp explains “Wear them with khakis for a dressier look (think: dinner with her parents) or jeans or shorts for a casual look (think: heading to a baseball game with friends),” she wrote. Clarks boat shoes are available in a variety of materials, including leather.

Lacoste
It’s probably no surprise that the alligator synonymous with high-class stylings can be found on boat shoes. There’s something that just goes so well together from the company whose product line includes polo shirts. Brunch or seaside strolls are perfect for Lacoste boat shoes, including Hodapp’s choice, the Sculler, which she denotes as “a modern spin on the classic nautical shoe.”

Nautica
Perhaps the least shocking name on the list from Hoadapp is Nautica, whose name has been associated with top-line boating apparel for ages. The heritage of the name alone would be attractive to the average buyer, but the designs put forth by the company live up to their legacy, whether they have the classic lace-along-the-side style or more modern appearances.

Sebago
Defined by Hodapp as a sportier boat shoe, Sebago’s area of expertise has always been in casual shoes, be they deck or boat shoes; but the Michigan-based manufacturer who once were known for their Dockside shoes, all the rage in the 1980s, have hardly sat back and let their name carry them forward. Instead, footwear like Hodapp’s preferred Wentworth Two-Eye blend modern and classic features.

Sperry
Hodapp called Sperry’s Cloud Logo Authentic Original 2-Eye the design favorite of Men’s Fitness. Regardless of personal taste, there is a universally approved facet: “Its soft to the touch, but stain and water resistant so it's durable enough for daily wear.” Hodapp says. It’s hardly surprising that Sperry received such high praise, since they have been a boat shoes leader since being founded in 1935.

Vans
“Wait a minute,” you’re saying to yourself, “doesn’t Vans make skateboarding shoes?” Indeed they do, but the company who has been huge with the anti-culture crowd for years really shows off their versatility without completely going off the grid from their signature look. In fact, the variety of Vans shoes show hints of reminiscence to their signature kicks in their boat shoe styles.

No matter which company you choose, you can find all boat shoe brands - large, small, and everything in between - right here on eBay. Start shopping now!

Keen Shoes Buying Guide

Starting in 2003 with a single sandal model featuring a protective rubber bumper for the toes, the Keen shoes line commands great popularity today. Users seek out Keen footgear for its rugged, safeguarding qualities ideal for various outdoor and adventurous situations, as well as overall comfort. Many Keen shoes still incorporate the original toe bumper. When picking a specific model, buyers should consider its characteristics and the demands of the walking terrain.

Seasonal Footgear from Keen Shoes
Picking shoes or boots based on the season and general weather conditions the user anticipates helps ensure maximum comfort and utility. Keen manufactures sandals, shoes, and boots suitable for practically every landscape and time of year.

Keen Warm Weather Waterfront Sandals
Keen's heavy-duty waterfront sandals provide both breathable comfort and abundant traction and protection for boating, moving through shore environments, and casual hiking. Users can choose from many models, from minimalist sandals that protect no more than the sole to active, adventurous creations, such as the Keen Newport. The Newport, available in both men's and women's versions, includes the company's distinctive rubber bumper to shield the toes. Thick polyester webbing guards the instep, while allowing maximum cooling air circulation. The sole is heavy to prevent penetration by sharp objects and features multidirectional molded lugs to provide traction in both wet and dry conditions.

Keen Shoes Buying Guide

Keen Summer Hiking Footgear
For warm weather hiking, mid-height boots serve best, providing support to the ankle and protecting the foot with thick, rugged soles designed for maximum traction. The Keen Targhee II provides one example, rising high enough to prevent ankle twists and protecting the joint from sharp sticks or rocks. Waterproof leather and a special high-tech membrane keep the feet dry, while ensuring good air circulation. The shock-absorbing S3 heel prevents soreness and fatigue, even on long treks over rugged terrain.

Keen Winter Hiking Boots
Taller boots, such as the Keen Hoodoo II, function better in the winter. Their shaft is high enough to keep the lower shin warm, even while wading through snow of moderate depth. The Hoodoo is also waterproof, making it equally suitable for slushy trails in the late autumn or early spring. The same breathable membrane found in Keen's tall boots is available in the mid-height models, and the extra insulation staves off frostbite.

Choosing Keen Casual Shoes
When wearers plan to limit their activities to tamed, civilized areas, such as mowed lawns, sidewalks, and stores, Keen's casual shoe line provides options for comfortable, easy use, and a measure of style. Frequently, these shoes also feature the company's signature toe bumper.

Quick and Simple Slip-On Keen Shoes for the House and Errands
Many casual chores and quick errands call for a shoe that slips on and off in situations where spending time tying shoelaces counts as overkill. Keen slip-ons include lightweight canvas shoes, clog-style footgear with robust toe bumpers for yard chores or strolling, and casual Mary Janes or loafers for informal, comfortable shopping wear.

Work Shoes from Keen
Keen's work shoes offer better coverage and somewhat more formal styling, plus practical functionality, with model lines that include the Keen PTC Oxfords. The lace-up shoes stay securely on the feet while working, and feature thick soles with a non-slip tread for superior traction, even when the work environment is damp or oily. The characteristic thick rubber toe bumper provides the front of the foot with medium protection.

Additional Examples of Keen Styles
Keen produces dozens of other shoe and sandal styles. Consumers can find designs that match a wide range of needs.

The Keen product line incorporates a wide range of shoes for all purposes, from casual occasions to work. Consumers can select from leather or synthetic models depending on their specific personal needs and style.

How to Choose the Right Jimmy Choos for a Formal Occasion

Jimmy Choo is one of the world's top fashion designers. He made his mark on the fashion world with a unique flair for shoe making. Two years after opening his first shop, his shoes featured in Vogue magazine. Princess Diana loved his shoes, and the rest is history.

Jimmy Choo shoes are available for every occasion. Jimmy Choo handbags, sunglasses, and shoes combine simple designs and unrivaled artisanship. Fashion forward hues and contemporary styling blend with clean lines and decadent materials in every Jimmy Choo shoe and accessory. Choosing the right handbag, shoes, and sunglasses to top off any formal outfit depends on the occasion and personal style.

Platforms and Heels
Jimmy Choo platform shoes and pumps are available in a wide variety of styles. Most styles offer a choice of heel height, material, and color. A shoe model such as the Anouk family is broken down into four styles; the Abel, Aza, Anouk, and Agnes correspond to four different heel heights. Each style is available in choice of color and material. The material choice for most models is leather, suede, patent, fabric, or exotic.

Jimmy Choo wedding shoes are the best choice for any bridal dress. Styles range from pumps to sandals, and all of them are available in multiple shades of white, silver, and beige. Various choices for fabric assure a perfect shoe for every dress.

Heel and platform shoes come in several shoe types. Sandals, open toe, peep toe, sling-backs, and slip-ons are a few of the choices. Dress length is important when deciding on heel height and style. Consider the activities of the occasion; dancing at a wedding reception or prom may be easier with a lower heel. A venue with steps or a long walk to seats may be better suited for platforms because they offer a stable step.

Flats and Boots
Jimmy Choo boots are a perfect choice for cooler months, as boots work well with long heavier fabrics for winter formal events. In the fall, short dresses and skirts are warm and stylish with high boots; Jimmy Choo over the knee boots look stylish with short dresses and skirts. Choose boots that complement the fabric as well as the style of the outfit; leather is a nice accent for ponte knit or lace.

Jimmy Choo flats work well with long and short spring and summer fashions. Flats are a cute look for fit and flare dresses, skirts, and longer dresses. Jimmy Choo flat sandals are easy to wear and a good choice for warmer months. Jimmy Choo flats with sparkle embellishments pair well with short dresses for proms, and they make it easy to dance and look stylish.

Handbags and Clutches
Formal occasions require a clutch. Jimmy Choo clutches come in a color to match every formal outfit or just that one special outfit. Embellishments, fabrics, and attention to detail make each clutch a unique statement. For example, the Jimmy Choo Candy clutch comes in bold colors and prints; this rigid envelope clutch features a chain and matches nicely with Jimmy Choo patent leather pumps. Alternately, the Jimmy Choo Reese clutch has a classic style to match evening dresses and is a nice choice for proms or weddings. It comes with a built-in wallet and is available in various colors and materials.

For a formal garden party or prom, choose a Jimmy Choo handbag that complements the colors of the dress. The wide variety of materials, styles, and colors make it easy to find the right one; thin straps and solid colors are best for formal wear. Avoid bold prints and heavy embellishments so the bag does not compete with the dress.

How to Choose the Right Jimmy Choos for a Formal Occasion

Jimmy Choo designer shoes, handbags, and sunglasses are an investment in quality as well as good looks. These shoes and accessories allow you to express your own personal style at your next formal event.

How to list designer shoes

Three steps to a great listing

The first thing you need to remember is that you can not give too much information. Photos, measurements, serial numbers, comparable retail pricing (if you don't know what the cost was) are all great tools.  But it really boils down to a catchy listing title, good looking photo and the starting price.

Let's discuss the photo first. This is your bread and butter. If your photo is horrible, your listing will not do well at all. Think of it like this, would you purchase a house with poor curb appeal? No, probably not. So make sure the lighting is good, the item is clean, your BACKGROUND is clean, and the item looks like it might have come off a showroom floor. That means cleaning any dust/smudges off the outside. Go outside or lay them nicely over a plain, solid color background. Make sure the soles are clean! Take several angles of the item, interior and exterior shots and don't forget the label or identification!

Now that you have a great photo, let's work on the listing title. Make it interesting. Make it stand out. You don't want a run of the mill title, you want pizzazz. Say, for instance, you are listing Coach sandals for sale. You could title your listing as such : Coach Sandals. You probably would get a few hits, maybe a few watchers and a bid or two. OR you could title your listing like this : EUC Coach Sandals size 9 Retail $99. Now, combine that with a great starting bid and you'll increase your activity. Attention is in the detail! This is an example of an excellent listing :

Women's shoes, clothing, handbags & accessories, beauty & perfume and more now available for up to 60% OFF at Nordstrom! Go through this coupon for details!

That leads us to the pricing. This is at your discretion. However, I will caution you to start your bidding low to attract more bids. If you are worried about letting it go for less than you expect, then add a REASONABLE reserve amount, within $25 of your Buy It Now price. Add in a Buy It Now price for those who know a good deal when they see it. How do I price things, you ask.  A good rule of thumb is this : If it is NWT and one or two seasons old, set the BIN price at no more than 2/3 the retail price with a starting bid of 1/3 the retail price or lower. If it is NWOT, or NWT and older than two seasons set the BIN at 1/2 the retail price with a starting bid of 1/4 the retail price or lower. See what I'm doing here? The point is to attract bidders. If it is used, I personally would skip the reserve and the BIN and do a straight auction with a starting bid of $29.99. That seems to be the magic number. If it doesn't sell right away, don't worry! You have the option to relist and can adjust these numbers as you see fit. Usually adjusting up or down 10% on the starting bid helps!

I hope you have found this guide helpful. Good luck in selling your designer shoes.

How to Save Money on Used SAS Shoes

Buying used shoes has become more common due to the ease of shopping online. The strategy saves money, especially when buying high-end, hand-sewn shoes like those made by San Antonio Shoes. SAS is known for creating quality leather footwear that is designed for comfort. The shoes come in slim, narrow, medium, wide, double-wide, and triple-wide sizes, allowing for a more precise fit. The insoles of SAS shoes can be removed so that orthopedic appliances can be inserted. The price for higher quality puts brand-new shoes out of reach for some people, but used SAS shoes are usually priced more competitively.

Save Money by Buying Used SAS Shoes Online
People buy used shoes primarily to save money. Strategies for saving money on used SAS shoes include using SAS-brand products to restore shoes, taking good care of the leather to extend shoe life, and finding the right size of SAS shoe by measuring feet accurately.

How to Save Money on Used SAS Shoes

SAS Shoe Sizes
A shoe that fits perfectly will last much longer and be more comfortable than a shoe in the wrong size. Before making a purchase, buyers should research SAS sizes, which differ from those that are offered by most off-the-shelf shoe sellers. Getting a comfortable, orthopedic fit depends on accurate foot measurements and choosing the right style of SAS shoe.
Get foot measurements by tracing feet and measuring the longest distance from big toe to heel of each foot. Use the longest measurement to the nearest 1/16 of an inch. The following tables convert inches to SAS sizes:

How to Care for SAS Shoes
A great way to save money on a pair of used SAS shoes is to take good care of them; this ensures that they will last longer, leading wearers to require buying shoes less often.

How to Disinfect Used Shoes
Health and sanitary concerns might prevent some people from buying used footwear, but SAS shoes for men, SAS Time Out Shoes, and women's shoes can be disinfected and deodorized effectively. Adding new SAS insoles provides a fresh surface for feet. When buying a pre-owned pair, look for shoes in pristine condition or shoes that haven't been worn often to reduce concerns about germs and athlete's foot. Spray shoes with commercial disinfectants, or use bleach and alcohol.

To disinfect a pair of SAS shoes, first wipe them liberally with alcohol and allow the alcohol to remain until it evaporates. Use a high-percentage alcohol solution rather than water, which can damage leather. Spray shoes with a strong bleach solution internally in areas where feet come into contact. Bleach kills any fungus that causes athlete's foot. An extra safety measure is to put shoes in a plastic bag and freeze them overnight.

Cleaning and Restoring SAS Shoes
Use SAS Leather Cream, waterproofing products, leather conditioner, and shoe polish torepair and restore used shoes to better condition. Shoe cleaning supplies and shoe care kits can help to extend shoe life, which is especially important when starting out with used shoes.
Follow tips for shining shoes, using a shoe valet, and techniques for restoring shoes to get the maximum wear for an investment in SAS used shoes. Always use a shoe horn to prevent wear on the back of the heel and extend shoe life.
